We all love it when we get those messages where clients are blown away by the changes they have experienced. There is no better feeling as a therapist. We want to help people. It is why we do what we do. So how do you feel when things don’t work out?
This is one of the hardest things to deal with as a therapist. We can take it personally. We want to help our clients so much. We can begin to question ourselves and doubt our own abilities.
There will always be occasions when clients do not move forward as much as you had hoped. It is essential to accept this harsh reality but also to learn from these experiences such that we can minimise these occurrences.
